The Maurten Gel 160 is an energy gel in hydrogel format developed for endurance athletes who need to incorporate a high amount of carbohydrates during training sessions and competitions. Each 65 g gel provides 40 g of carbohydrates and 160 kcal, allowing a greater amount of energy to be concentrated in each serving.

It uses Maurten's Hydrogel Technology, which encapsulates the carbohydrates in a hydrogel structure. Its formula combines glucose and fructose in a 1:0.8 ratio, the same ratio used in Gel 100, but increasing the carbohydrate content from 25 to 40 g per gel.

It also features a particularly simple formulation, made with just 6 ingredients, with no added flavourings, colourings or preservatives. Its neutral flavour makes it easy to combine with other products as part of a nutritional strategy for long-duration activities.

Ingredients: water, glucose, fructose, calcium carbonate, gluconic acid and sodium alginate.
