Energy Drinks technical description

ref. SAMA_720-01 | brand ref. 720-01
Santa Madre Unusual Fuel 100CHO is a carbohydrate energy drink developed for endurance athletes who need to maintain a high energy intake during prolonged efforts. Each single serving provides 100 g of carbohydrates and 500 mg of sodium, making it an option particularly aimed at long-duration training sessions and competitions.

Its formula uses a 1:1 glucose:fructose carbohydrate ratio, designed to promote the use of different intestinal transporters and facilitate strategies with intakes of over 100 g of carbohydrates per hour in athletes previously adapted to this type of consumption.

As well as providing energy, it contains 500 mg of sodium per serving, helping to replace part of the sodium lost through sweat during exercise. It contains no caffeine, so it can be combined with other gels or caffeine-containing supplements as part of a personalised nutritional strategy.

Details:
  • Type: powdered carbohydrate energy drink.
  • Flavour: lemon.
  • Format: single serving of approximately 106-107 g.

Preparation and directions for use:

The single serving is prepared with approximately 500 ml of water and is intended to be consumed during exercise. Due to its high concentration of carbohydrates, Santa Madre also emphasises the importance of accompanying this type of strategy with adequate hydration.

When should you take it?

During training. It is particularly focused on long-duration running and makes more sense when the athlete needs to maintain a strategy of high carbohydrate intake for several hours.
